Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been added to the bowling line-up along with Babar Azam as the captain of the team announced by the ICC. Includes 2 English and one Kiwi player.

The five-member ICC panel selected the team of the tournament and this is the first time that no Indian player has been included in the team announced after an ICC event. One of the reasons for this is the poor performance of the Indian team in the tournament which was defeated by Pakistan and New Zealand in the beginning of the event and it could not even qualify for the semi-finals.

According to the ICC, Babar Azam has been named captain of the team while other players include David Warner of Australia, Jose Butler of England, Chereth Asalanka of Sri Lanka, Eden Markram of South Africa, Moin Ali of England and Vanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka. Australia's Adam Zampa, Australia's Josh Hazelwood, New Zealand's Trent Bolt, South Africa's Enrique Norje and Pakistan's Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pakistan's wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who has excelled in the tournament, could not find a place in the ICC Team of the Tournament as Jose Butler, David Warner and Babar Azam have been included in the opener squad.

Strange celebration after Australia won the World Cup

The Australian team celebrated after winning the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. Australian players Matthew Wade and Marcus Stevens were also seen drinking alcohol in their shoes during the celebration.

For the majority of cricket fans, the act was both a surprise and an abomination. The process of putting alcohol in one's shoes and drinking is called 'shoey' in English. A look at the past reveals that this is not the first time the Australian team has done so.
